Threaded replies are still experimental feature in bbPress, and it is not fully implemented.
Pagination is not working due to the problem with properly splitting list of replies while maintaining readability of the thread (replies are not in the chronological order). As for latest 2.6 development version, this is not addressed, and the 2.7 version or even later may fix this.

bbPress requires theme templates to display the forums content. Currently, bbPress needs total of 16 theme templates for all content types and taxonomies.
